FAQ

I am interested in getting a Resilience Hub.  How do I get funding?

We have been collaborating with the Cyclone Gabrielle Appeal Trust on various projects throughout 2024. Although the latest funding round has closed, we are continuously exploring multiple avenues to secure funding for our Resilience Hubs. To stay informed about future opportunities, please register your interest on the Mana Manaaki website. This way, we can reach out to you when a suitable funding option becomes available.

What kind of Disasters do you focus on?

We have evaluated both the likely and less likely disaster scenarios that could impact Aotearoa to determine the resources and emergency management plans we provide. The most common scenarios include earthquakes, cyclones, tsunamis, landslides, and bush fires. However, our risk assessments also consider volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, and pandemics to ensure comprehensive preparedness.

Won't the world go into chaos after a natural disaster?  Do I need a gun?

It's understandable to be concerned about the potential chaos following a natural disaster, but having a gun isn't necessary for most situations. The key to managing a disaster effectively lies in preparedness. By ensuring you have essential supplies, a solid emergency plan, and staying informed, you can greatly reduce the stress and uncertainty that often follow such events.

Are there opportunities for businesses to partner with your organization?

We welcome partnerships with businesses that share our commitment to disaster resilience. Partnering with the Resilience Group offers unique opportunities to make a meaningful difference in disaster-affected areas. This could be way of supply chain assistance, funding or just sharing idea's.
Feel free to send us a message to discuss.
